One of the most interesting games of round 34 was a derby match between two teams from Belgium. First rankedKortrijk outleveled visiting Spirou Charleroi (17-16) 82-59 . Kortrijk forced 21 Charleroi turnovers. Charleroi was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian Leon Stergar (193-2000) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 8 rebounds. Bram Bogaerts (198-1998) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Kortrijk players scored in double figures. Dutch forward Willem Brandwijk (204-1995, college: IUP) replied with 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Xander Pintelon (208-2003) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Charleroi. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kortrijk maintains first position with 25-7 record. Charleroi lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 16 games lost.
